[:en]Thoughts from Genesis 27[:]

[:en]When it was time for Isaac to bless his children, Isaac told Esau to hunt some wild game and prepare him a tasty food before he will bless him.  This was overheard by Rebekah.  So when Esau left, Rebekah prepared some tasty food and told Jacob to lie to his father in order to get the blessing.  Her scheme was successful and Jacob got the blessing.  When Esau returned, his father could no longer give him the first born blessing because Isaac had been deceived.  In his grudge against Jacob, Esau planned to kill Jacob.  When Rebekah learned about that, he told Jacob to flee to  his brother Laban in Haran and stay with him.

Rebekah’s mistake of making her son a liar and deceiving her husband had cost her never to see her beloved son Jacob on earth again.[:]
