[:en]Thoughts from Revelation 21[:]

[:en]John saw a new heaven and a new earth.  He saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.  God will live with His people and He will be their God.  He will wipe out every tear and no more death or mourning or crying or pain for everything is made new. (vs. 3-4)

The new city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.  The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.  Its gates will never be shut.  Only those whose name are written in the lamb’s book of life can enter it. (*vs. 23-27)

God gave John the preview of eternal glory to encourage and give hope to the people who had gone through tribulation and persecution.[:]
