[:en]When “the day of the Lord” comes, Christ will return to the earth to defeat His enemies and make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves (v. 3). He will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah (v. 4). On that day, He will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place (v. 6). The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah and shield those who live in Jerusalem. He will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. (vs. 7-9)
The people of Israel shall see the Messiah and recognize Him. They will mourn for the Lord who had been pierced(v. 10).
