[:en]Thoughts from Mark 1[:]

[:en]John the Baptist was sent as the messenger of Jesus to prepare the way for the Lord and make straight paths for Him.  He was in the desert preaching a baptism or repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus came from Nazareth and was baptized by John the Baptist at Jordan River.  And a voice from heaven came:  “You are my Son whom I love.; with you I am well pleased”.  And He was in the desert 40 days being tempted by Satan.

The tasks of Jesus:

  1. He called the First Disciples – Simon, Andrew, James and John (vs. 14-20)
  2. He drove out an evil spirit at Capernaum (vs. 21-28)
  3. He healed Simon’s mother-in-law’s fever, drove out demons and cured various diseases (vs. 29-34)
  4. He prayed in a solitary place and went to the nearby villages to preach (vs. 35-39_
  5. He touched the man with leprosy and he was cured (vs. 40-44)

What have you done for Christ?[:]
