[:en]Thoughts from Mark 2[:]

[:en]Jesus healed a paralytic who was being lowered down from the roof.  He called Levi, a tax collector to follow Him and had dinner with him together with many collectors and sinners.  the teachers of the law and the Pharisees questioned why Jesus ate with the sinners.  Jesus answered:  “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  I have not come to call the righteous but sinners” (v. 17)

The Pharisees considered unlawful for the disciples of Jesus to pick some head of grain on the Sabbath day.  But Jesus said to them: “The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath.  So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath” (vs. 27-28)[:]
