[:en]The Parable of the 10 Virgins: (vs. 1-13)
The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom did not come, so they all became drowsy and fell asleep. When the cry rang out upon the coming of the bridegroom, all the ten virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The lamps of the foolish ones went out because the oil had been consumed. They asked the wise ones to give them some oil but they refused. So they went out to buy the oil. When the bridegroom arrived, the virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. When foolish ones arrived, they were not able to enter. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

A man went on a journey and called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one, he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. The one with the two talents gained two more. But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. When the master returned, the one with give talents brought the other five. The one with two talents brought the other two. The master replied: “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness. Then the man with the one talent came and returned the one talent to the master. The master replied: You wicked, lazy servant. You should have put my money on deposit with the bankers so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. He took the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory with his angels, all nations will be gathered and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. (vs. 35-36)
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. (v. 40)
