[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (3/7/18)[:]

[:en]The Jewish people started to build their temple during the reign of King Cyrus.  They wanted to complete their temple that had been destroyed in 586 BC by Babylon.  But they had to ask permission from King Darius.  When the king checked out their records, he found it to be true that King Cyrus had issued a decree for them to build the temple.  So Darius not only gave them permission to rebuild, but he also paid for it! (Ezr 6:1-12)  After they finished building the temple, they “celebrated with joy because they knew God had changed the attitude of the king” (Ezra 6:22)

When you have a situation that needs to be addressed, plead your case to the Lord in a respectful way.  Honor and trust in His wisdom as He is in control of every situation.  Express your gratiude for the outcome and bring all glory to God.[:]
