Jesus and Beelzebub (vs. 14-28)
When Jesus drove out a mute demon, some Pharisees said: “By Beelzebub, the prince of demon, he is driving out demons” (vs. 15) Jesus refuted by saying: some followers of Pharisees were also driving out demons. - You love the seats of honor in the synagogue and respectful greetings in the marketplace.
- You are like unmarked graves in the field. People walked over them without knowing the corruption they are stepping.
3 Woes to the Experts of the Law (vs. 46-52)
- You crush people with impossible religious demands by adding unnecessary rules on the Sabbath day by prohibiting healing and good works.
- You build tombs for the very prophets your ancestors killed because you agree with your ancestors for what they have done
- You hide the key to the knowledge of truth from the people. by adding man made rules and interpreting the Scripture erroneously. You don’t enter the kingdom yourselves and closed the doors of God’s love for people to enter into His kingdom.
