[:en]When the Israelites were rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, their enemies were plotting to attack them. As a leader, Nehemiah prayed and posted numerous guards in strategic places. He also armed his workers. The workers carried the materials with one hand and held a weapon in the other with sword at his side. (Neh. 4:17-18)
We, who are building God’s kingdom also need to arm ourselves against the attack of Satan. The sword of the Spirit – God’s Word – is our protection. We must memorize scripture and mediate on it to stand against the devil’s schemes. (Eph. 6:11)
Let God’s Word be our divine defense against the attacks from our spiritual enemy.[:]
