[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (5/20/18)[:]

[:en]Samuel lived in the sub-Saharan Africa with only his mother to take care of her siblings because his father was forced to flee for his life during the government upheaval.   Life was difficult when Sam’s brother was sick with anemia and they could not afford medical care.

Then one day, a man learned about their plight and brought them some medicine to help with treatment.  In response to this man’s assistance, they went to this man’s church and believed in Jesus.

Today, Sam has started more than 20 churches, a large school, and a home to orphans.  He continued the legacy of true religion by not merely listen to the word but do what it says. (James 1:22)  Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress ( James 1:27)

A simple act of kindness done in Jesus;s name can touch  people’s lives.[:]
