[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (5/25/18)[:]

[:en]After the cold and snowy winter, everyone awaits for the coming month of May where branches turn from gray to green.  While pollen is a springtime nuisance that makes people sneeze, spring brings about transformation in the woods.

God has built into creation a cycle of rest and renewal.  Rest is preparation for renewal while death is preparation for resurrection.  Death is a temporary condition that prepares us for a new life, a new beginning, and for something even better.  Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life.  The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).  God is in the business of keeping things alive.  He promises a glorious resurrection for those who believe in His Son.

How about you?  Do you have the hope of promised resurrection?
