[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (5/27/18)[:]

[:en]Before Jesus left His disciples, He promised to give them peace that transcends all understanding (Phil. 4:7).  He told them that He would send the Spirit of truth to live and guide them in this trouble world.  The Spirit would teach them, comfort them, be with them as they faced trials and fierce opposition from the religious leaders.

As God’s children, we may experience hardships and troubles.  But we too have the presence of the Holy Spirit and the peace of God that never leaves us.  Remember what Jesus said:  “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you” (John 14:27)[:]
