[:en]What is the difference between sympathy and empathy? Sympathy is feeling of compassion, sorrow or pity FOR someone while empathy is feeling of compassion, sorrow or pity WITH someone. Empathy is the ability to experience the feelings of another person, which goes beyond sympathy.
While Jesus lived on this earth for 33 years, He shared in our humanity. He was made like us, fully human in every way. (Heb/.2:17). As a human, He is able to understand the struggles we face and the temptations we undergo. He is able to empathize with us and give us courage, strength and hope to face the future.[:]
