[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread”(5/17/18)[:]

[:en]Debbie has an abandoned plant in a dark corner of the kitchen of their new home.  It was dusty and ragged so she moved the pot into a spot by the window and personally took care of it.  She observed it week after week of its improvement.  She decided to give up if nothing has happened after another month.  When decision day came, she discovered two small stems poking out from among the leaves.  The plant she almost gave up was still alive and started to grow.

Perhaps you also experience the same predicament in your spiritual growth.  You lose your temper, engage in gossip, forget to pray, postpone your Bible reading and fail to attend church services.    Do not be discouraged but be patient and allow the Holy Spirit to work  in you.  Have faith in Him to shape your desires and help you to grow.   “At the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up” (Gal. 4:9)[:]
