During Jesus’s public ministry, He took time to be alone in prayer. After feeding 5000 people, He sent His disciples to cross the Sea of Galilee by boat while He dismissed the crowd. (Mat. 14:22). Then He went up on a mountainside by Himself to pray.
We also need a daily time of solitude to be with the Lord in a quiet place without any distractions. We need to communicate with Him through prayer to pour out our hearts to God. We need to ponder His Word with a receptive mind and listening ear. Let Him prepare his directions for us to follow.[:]
