[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (7/19/18)[:]

[:en]There are many things in this world that require us to WAIT – expectant mother in the delivering process, consultation with a doctor, board exam results, medical diagnosis outcome,  job application acceptance,  return of a loved one, etc.  The word WAIT in the Bible often means “to look eagerly for, to hope, and to expect”  When faced with great difficulties, the psalmist said:  “O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.  Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed” (Ps.25:2-3)

We cannot control the things that we must wait.  But we can decide how we wait.  Let us not be afraid but continue to press on, seeking God’s strength and direction.

May we pray to God”:  “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day” (Ps. 25:4-5)[:]
