[:en]In Corinth (vs. 1-17)
Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. There, he met Aquila and his wife Prescilla. He stayed and worked with them as a tentmaker. During Sabbath day, he preached that Jesus was Christ. Many Corinthians heard and believed and were baptized. Among them were Crispus, the synagogue ruler and his entire household.
The Jews made a united attack on Paul and brought him to Gallio, who was pro-consul of Achaia. Gallio told them to handle this matter of theology themselves.
Prescilla, Aquila and Apollos (vs. 18-28)
Paul left Corinth with Prescilla and Aquila and sailed to Syria. They arrived at Ephesus, and proceeded to Caesarea and Antioch. Then he revisited the churches in the region of Galatia and Phrygia, strengthening all disciples.
Apollos was a Jew from Alexandria. He was a learned man with thorough knowledge of the scriptures. But he only heard the baptism of John. He did not know about Jesus life, crucifixion and resurrection nor the coming of the Holy Spirit. So, Prescilla and Aquila explained to him the way of salvation. He taught about the way of the Lord and used the gift of reason to convince many in Greece of the truth of the Good News.[:]
