[:en]Vaclav Havel was formerly a political prisoner of Czechoslovakia. In 1989, he was elected as the first president of Czechoslovakia. When he died in 2011, the former US Secretary of State Madeline Albright described him as the one who had “brought the light to the places of deep darkness” during the funeral service held in Prague.
Jesus said: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life” (John 8:12) Indeed, the birth of Jesus brought light to the spiritual arena. Jesus told us: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Mat. 5:16)
The world today has twisted truth. People are looking for direction in life. Let us be the one to shine the light of Christ into our world and bring salvation to mankind.[:]
