[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (8/7/18)[:]

[:en]When Jesus’ disciples kept the children away from Him, He was angry saying:  “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them” (Mark 10:14).   Jesus showed mercy to the helpless.  He reached out to a despised ethnic group.  He made the Good Samaritan the hero of His parable. (Luke 10:25-37)  He offered hope to the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. (John 41:26)  He protected and forgave a woman trapped in adultery. (John 8:1-11).  And  He gave His life for all of us. (Rom 5:6)

Let us show real love to the vulnerable and the marginalized.  Let us help the people who needs our defense.  Let us reflect the very heart of Jesus with our care and concern.[:]
