[:en]When someone is in grief and pain, he needs comforting words of sympathy.  When someone is in distress, he needs comforting words of encouragement.  When someone is in illness, he needs comforting words of healing and hope.  The Old Testament prophet Isaiah wrote:  “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary” (Isa. 50:4)

Let us learn to say kind words that can lift a heavy heart and offer hope and light in the darkness.[:]
