[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (9/7/18)[:]

[:en]Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, A dinner was given in Jesus’ honor in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper.  Mary took an expensive perfume, poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.  The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.  People there rebuked her harshly but Jesus came to her defense saying:  She has done a beautiful thing to me.  She did what she could.  She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.  Wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her” (Mark 14:8-9)

People may criticize us for what we do.  We don’t have to worry about what people may say.  As long as we do what we can with love and sincerity, we know that Jesus will surely appreciate our labor.  Remember this saying:  “Only one life, it will soon be past, but what’s done for Christ will always last”[:]
