When the Southern California economy took an economy downturn several years ago, Pastor Bob Johnson scheduled a meeting with the mayor and offered his help. Together, they came came up with a plan to address several pressing needs. The seniors needed visitors to cheer them up. Foster children needed families. Many kids needed turoring to help with their studies. The church addressed their needs with their time and interest.
Jesus said: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Mat. 25:40). Let us give our time, love and resources for His kingdom.[:]
