[:en]DOING GOOD TO ALL (vs. 1-10)
“If someone is caught in sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently” (v. 1). We shouldhumbly and gently reach out to a Christian brother or sister who needs correction or encouragement.
We are not supposed to compare ourselves with others. Let Christ be your example to inspire you to do your very best.
We should care for the spiritual leaders who give instruction in the Word. We must not ignore their financial and physiucal needs with a generous spirit and willing heart. We should show honor and appreciation for all they have done.
“A man rreaps what he sows” (v. 7) Every action has a counter reaciton. If you plan sinful desires, you will reap sorrow and evil. If you plant to please God, you will reap joy and everlasting life. Choose what seeds you want to sow.
“Let us not beocme weary in doing good for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have the opportunity, do good to all people especialy to those who belong tot hte family of the believers” (vs. 9-10)NOT CIRCUMCISION BUT A NEW CREATION (vs. 11-18)
The Judaizers were emphsizing circumcision as proof of holies – but ignoring other Jewish laws. They made circumcision as a measure of faith. The Bible must be our rule of faith and practice.
The Judaizers emphasize the externals. But what is important is the inward ondition of our heart. A life without inward change leads to a shallow one mpty spiritual talk. For ‘Paul, he never boasted except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ because the world has been crucified to him and he to the world. Neither circum, cision or uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation (vs. 14-15)
As we believe in Jesus Christ, we have been set free. Do not return to rigid conformity to a set of rules and regualations. Do not be enslaved by legalism. Instead, use your freedom to live for Christ and servce Him with an obedient heart.[:]
