[:en]Thoughts from 2 Thessalonians 2[:]

[:en]THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS (vs. 1-12)

Paul warned the Thessalonians not to believe in some propheies from those that say that the day of the Lord has come.  Do not be deceived, for that day will not come until the Anti-Christ is revealed.  Satan will display all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders through the Anti-Christ to deceive and draw a following.  He will use his power to destroy and lead people away from God and toward himself.  Those who do not believe in the truth will be condemned and experience the consequences of their sins.

STAND FIRM (vs. 13-17)

Paul urged the Thessalonians to thank God for they were  chosen by God from the beginning to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.  He asked them to stand firm and hold on to his teachings and eternal hope in Christ by doing good dedds and saying good words.[:]
