[:en]GROWING IN THE WIND
When evening came, Jesus and his disciples were in a boat. During the night, a furious squall came up and the waves broke over the boast, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was sleeping on a cushion in the stern. In a panic, they woke Him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and told the waves to be quiet. Then He asked them why they were so afraid and without faith. Astonished and terrified, the disciples asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!”
Today, when the winds of circumstance howl, how strong will your faith be? Let us remember His reassuring statement: “Be Still and know that I am God” (Ps. 46:10). – Mart Dehaan)
