[:en]OLD YET NEW

In 2014, a sinkhole swallowed eight vintage, irreplaceable Chevrolet Corvette in the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky.  The automobiles were severely damaged – some beyond repair.  But there was one particular fascinating car, the one-millionth corvette, the most valuable in the collection, which rolled off the assembly line in 1992.   Experts restored the car to mint condition, mainly by using and repairing its original parts.  After the restoration, it looks as good as it did the day it was built.

This reminds us of what John was saying in Revelation 21:1 “a new heaven and a new earth”.  The “new” means “fresh” or  “restored” after the decay of the old has been wiped away.  God will renovate what is corrupt on this earth and provide a fresh, yet familiar place where believers will live with Him.  Our creator will make everything “NEW” in His mighty handiwork! – (Dave Branon)[:]
