[:en]FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD (vs. 1-12)
To love God is to obey His command. And His command is to love the children of God. It is not easy to obey His commands but His commands are not burdensome to those who believe in Jesus Christ who is born of God.
There are three that testify: The Spirit, the Water and the Blood. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life” (v. 12)
CONCLUDING REMARKS (vs. 13-21)
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anythng according to His will , He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him. (vs. 14-15) The emphasis here is on God’s will, not our will. When we communicate with God, we don’t demand what we want, rather, we ask Him what He wants for us. If our prayers are according to His will, He will listen and give us a definite answer.
Continue to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters. If we commit sin, ask God to forgive. Anyone born of God does not continue to sin. God will keep him safe and the evil one will not harm him. Those who do not come to Christ in faith do not belong to God. They live under Satan’s control.
Who is Jesus Christ? He is the God-man, fully God and fully human at the same time. He is the Son of the true God who came to earth to die for our sins and give us eternal life with the power to do His will. Keep yourselves from idols. Idols are anything that replaces God as the center of your life.[:]
