[:en]THE DEATH OF DOUBT
Thomas was called “Doubting Thomas” because he would not believe that the crucified Jesus has risen unless he saw the nail marks in his hands and put his finger where the nails were. But at the death of Lazarus, Jesus wanted to go to Judea but His disciples protested except Thomas who said: “Let us also go, that we may die with him” (John 11:16)
Despite having witnessed the resurrection of Lazarus, Thomas still could not believe that the Lord had conquered death. But when he saw the risen Lord, he exclaimed: “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)
Real doubt searches for the light; but unbelief is content with the darkness. – (Tim Gustafson)
