[:en]David was in trouble. He felt that God was “far away” from him. So he mentioned to God what the wicked men did.
What are the deeds of the wicked? (vs. 3-11)
- He hunts down the weak
- He boasts of the cravings his heart, blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord
- He is proud and does not seek God
- He is haughty, lawless, but is always prosperous
- He sneers at all his enemies and is happy and confident that trouble will never come to him
- He curses, lies and threaten people
- He murders the innocent
- He catches the helpess and drags them off in his net
- He crushes the victims and ignore God’s presence
Then David asked God to lift His hand, to remember the helpless and to punish the wicked.
In closing, he praised God for hearing the desire of the afflicted, listening to their cry and defending the fatherless and the oppressed.
Have you experienced trouble and felt like God is so far way because He is silent in the face of great needs? Do you wonder why wicked men prosper while the righteous suffer? During those times, when you feel most alone or oppressed, keep praying and tell God about your trouble. Do not be upset why the wicked succeeded. Get the right perspective on wickedness and wealth. The wicked will surely be punished and wealth is only temporary. So, don’t be obsessed with wealth. God sees our trouble, feels our grief and helps us in His time. The ungodly may be winning now but the Lord will triumph at the end.[:]
