Praise is expressing to God our appreciation and gratitude of who He is and what He has done for us. God is our vindication, who upholds our just cause. There are many injustices in this world. We may be misunderstood by our friends and falsely accused by our enemies. We may be neglected and not be appreciated. Our work and service may not be duly rewarded. Despite of these, God is to be praised for He sees and remembers all the good that we do. Knowing that He will vindicate us keep us from hatred and self-pity. If we trust Him, we can experience God’s peace that transcends all understanding. Gdo will never leave nor abandon those who seek and trust in Him.
David wanted help from God to restore justice to Israel and to show God’s power to others. He gave the assurance that God will not forget the needy and He will give hope to the afflicted.
Remember: When we ask help from God, it must ont only be for our own benefit but also to bring glory and honor to Him.
