[:en]THE ANGEL AND THE LITTLE SCROLL (vs. 1-11)

A mighty angel holding a scroll came to announce the final judgment on the earth.  He put his right foot on the sea and left foot on the land to indicate his dealings with all creations.  When the angel spoke, John was told not to write down what he saw.  He was stopped from revealing certain parts of the vision.  Similar to Prophet Daniel, who was also told by an angel not to reveal what he saw to everyone (Daniel 12:9).

Jesus also told His disciples that the times of the end is known by no one but God (Mark 13:32-33).  So, we must not place more emphasis on speculations about the last days but to live for Christ while we wait.  All prophesies will be fulfilled when God’s plan for human history is completely revealed as the end of the age arrived.

Both Ezekiel and John were told to eat a scroll.  The taste was sweet in their mouth but bitter in their stomach.  God’s Word is both sweet and bitter.  Sweet because it brings encouragement but bitter because it also pronounce judgment.[:]
