[:en]THE SMALL THINGS
The author of Psalms 116 was encountering difficulties when he wrote” the cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came upon me; I was overcome by trouble and sorrow” (v. 3) But in spite of that, he thanked God for His graciousness, righteousness and compassion. (v. 4) He lifted up the cup of salvation and called on the name of the Lord (v. 13, 17). And he fulfilled his vows to the Lord (v. 14, 18)
When we are low, it is hard to look up. Yet if we do, we see that God is the giver of all good gifts in our life. So let us learn to count our blessings, give Him thanks and fulfill our vows. – (Anne Cetas)[:]
