Leprosy is a contagious that could not be cured before. So people with leprosy became outcast among the people, being despised and condemned. But Jesus understand such compassion. He did not side with the fears of unnerved onlookers when a desperate man, full of leprosy, showed up begging to be healed. He reached out to him, touched him and healed him.
