[:en]This is a Messianic Psalm written for a royal wedding showing that Christ is the Roayl Bridegroom while the church is the bride.
Description of Christ:
- The most excellent of men (v. 2) – His character, His words and His works are perfect
- His glorious victory (v. 4) – He displays truth, humily and righteousness in splendor and majesty with His anwsome deeds.
- His established throne (vs. 6-7) – He rules with love, righteousness and justice in an everlasting kingdom.
- His abundance (vs. 8-9) – HHe has grangrant robes with myrrh, aloes and casia, living in palance adorned with ivory enjoying joyful music.
- His honor (v. 11-12) – The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift and men of wealth will seek His favor.
- His bride (vs. 13-15) – The bride represents the church – all those who have been saved through faith in Christ – are being led into the palace of the bridegroom with joy and gladness.
- His successor (v. 16) – Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throught the land.
- His memory (v. 17) – He will be remembered through all generations and all the nations will praise Him for ever and ever.
