[:en]Most of David’s Psalms had a pattern. He would start with a problem, then he would pray and finally he would praise God for solving his problem.
When David was being pursued and attacked, what did he do? “When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” (vs. 3-4)
When his enemies turned back against him, what was his defense? “In God. whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise – In God I trust; I will not be afraid, What can man do to me?” (vs. 10-11)
If you are being attacked by your enemies, follow David’s pattern today.
- Tell your problems to the Lord (vs. 1-2. 5-6).
- Depend on the Word of God and His promises (vs. 3-4. 8-9).
- Praise God for His trustworthiness and help (vs. 10-12).
- And walk before God in the light of life (v. 13)
When you are in trouble, remember theses turths:
- God has a record of your tearts (v. 8) God understands the situation you are having. He knows how you feel. He will transfer your tears into gems of joy and glory.
- Goid hears when you call but you must handle your terrors and tears with trust (v. 9)
Memorize this verse: “In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (v.s 4, 11)[:]
