[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 56[:]

[:en]Most of David’s Psalms had a pattern.  He would start with a problem, then he would pray and finally he would praise God for solving his problem.

When David was being pursued and attacked, what did he do?  “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.  In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.  What can mortal man do to me?” (vs. 3-4)

When his enemies turned back against him, what was his defense?  “In God. whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise – In God I trust; I will not be afraid, What can man do to me?” (vs. 10-11)

If you are being attacked by your enemies, follow David’s pattern today.

  1. Tell your problems to the Lord (vs. 1-2. 5-6).
  2. Depend on the Word of God and His promises (vs. 3-4. 8-9).
  3. Praise God for His trustworthiness and help (vs. 10-12).
  4. And walk before God in the light of life (v. 13)

When you are in trouble, remember theses turths:

  1.  God has a record of your tearts (v. 8)  God understands the situation you are having.  He knows how you feel.  He will transfer your tears into gems of joy and glory.
  2. Goid hears when you call but you must handle your terrors and tears with trust (v. 9)

Memorize this verse:  “In God I trust;  I will not be afraid.  What can man do to me? (v.s 4, 11)[:]
