[:en]David wrote this Psalm when he was in the desert of Judah. In such a dry and barren place when there was no water, David was seeking God. His soul thirst for Hm and his body longed for Him. He wanted to see God’s power and glory as he had seen it in the sanctuary. Then he glorified God and praised His name because God watched him through day and night, and His hand had upheld him.
