Leprosy is a disease that can render its victim repulsive to others and ancient Jewish culture had strict guidelines to prevent its spread: “They must live alone outside the camp” (Lev. 13:46)
When a leper approached Jesus and said: “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean” (Mat. 8:2). Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. The man was healed.
Let us show the love of Jesus by touching people’s life with care and compassion. Let us trust God to touch us and use us. -(Tim Gustafson)
