[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 101[:]

[:en]David wanted to lead a blameless life.  He said “I will” nine times.  He did not want to have a perverse heart (v. 4) or a proud heart (v. 5)

9 “I WILL”

  1. Sing of your love and justice and praise (v. 1)
  2. Lead a blameless life (v. 2)
  3. Walk with blameless heart (v. 2b)
  4. Set not vile things before my eyes (v. 3)
  5. Have nothing to do with evil (v. 4)
  6. Put to silence those who slanders his neighbor (v. 5a)
  7. Not endure those with haughty eyes and a proud hearts (v. 5b0
  8. Put to silence all the wicked in the land (v. 8a)
  9. Cut off every evil doer from the city of the Lord (v. 8b)

David talked about two kinds of heart – perverse heart (v. 4) and proud heart (v. 5).  David wanted to have  a perfect and undivided heart.  He did not want people who practises deceit or speak falsely.  He wanted justice in the land and in the city (v. 7)

In a world full of illusion, we must avoid lies and walk in God’s wisdom.  Let God reign in our hearts and home.  Let our family be the supreme conductor of Christianity.[:]
