[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 102[:]

[:en]The Psalmist was experiencing distress.  He poured out his lament before the Lord.  He compared himself to a lonely bird – “I am like a desert owl, like and owl among the ruins.  I lie awake.  I have become like a bird alone on a roof (vs. 6-7)  But during his day of trouble, he turned to God and cried for help.  He prayed to God and asked Him to change things.  Then he magnified the Lord saying:

“But you O Lord set enthroned forever.  Your renown endures through all generations.” (v. 12)

“In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.  They weill perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.   Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.  But you remain the same, and your years will never end” (v.s. 25-27)

We are living in this world full of uncertainties.  We must trust God, who is  changeless and eternal.  Therefore, let us build our lives on Him.  Pray to Him. He will hear our cries and help us through our trials and hardships.[:]
