[:en]”How long will the wicked O Lord, how long will the wicked be jubilant?” (v. 3). This is a common question we ask when we have problems waiting for God to act upon. But the psalmist told us that God will avenge. He who implanted the ear can hear. He who formed the eye can see. He who disciplines the nation will punish. And He who teaches man knowledge has wisdom. In other words, God has His plan. He hears our prayers and sees our needs. He knows what is going on in this world. So we have to wait on Him.
The Psalmist sought God’s help to rise up against the wicked and stand against the evildoers. God’s love and consolation supported and brought joy to his soul. The Lord had become his fortress. He could take refuge in the rock. For the Lord shall repay the evildoers their sins and destroy the wicked.[:]
