[:en]GETTING AWAY WITH IT
Beckie Scott, a Canadian cross-country skier, won bronze medal on an Olympic competition in June 2004 at Utah. Months later, the two athletes before her were disqualified when it was discovered that they had used banned substances.
Although Scott had eventually received her gold medal, but gone forever was the moment when she should have stood in the podium to hear her country’s national anthem played. That injustice could never be remedied.
There are all kinds of injustice in thei world. The story of Cain and Abel showed an ultimate act of injustice. It may seemed that Cain got away with murdering his brother. But God Himself confronted him. “Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground” (Gen. 4:10) But of Abel, “By faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead” (Heb. 11:4).
God is holy and just. He does not allow wrong doings. He would defend the powerless. He will judge evil and reward our work done in faith for Him. – (Tim Gustafson)[:]
