[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 137[:]

[:en]This Psalm came out of Israel’s exile in Babylon.  The Babylonians were taunting the Jews by saying:  “Sing us one of the songs of Zion” (v. 3).  The Jews answered:  “How can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a foreign land?” (v. 4)

The Jews became exile Because of their disobedience, the Jews became exile and lost their songs.  They were living in memories and looking for revenge.  They are praying for God to judge their enemies.

When we are not walking with the Lord, we lose our song.  Let us get that song back by confesing our sins to the Lord.  Through confession, joy will be restored and we can receive daily blessings from God.[:]
