[:en]King David was facing a battle of different kinds of enemies – evil men, evil doers, violent men, wicked men, proud men and slanderers. The tongues of evil men are a sharp as a serpent. Their lips are like poison of vipers. The wicked men plan to trip his feet. Proud men hid a snare for him and spread out cords of their net. They had set traps along his path.
In such a situation, David depended on prayer (vs. 6-11), God’s promise (v. 12) and praise (v. 13). Finally God vindicated him and he gave thanks to Him.
