[:en]Thoughts from Psalms 142[:]

[:en]David wrote this Psalm when he was in a cave hiding from Saul.  He cried aloud to the Lord and got these assurances from God.

  1. I can lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy (v. 1)
  2. I can pour out my complaint before Him  and tell Him my trouble (v. 2)
  3. God knows my way when my spirit grows faint (v. 3)
  4. God is my refuge, my portion in the land of the living (v. 5)
  5. God will listen to my cry when I am in desperate need (v. 6)
  6. I will praise Your name for you will set me from my prison (v. 7)

If you are in the cave today and you are discouraged, look up to Jesus and look ahead with confidence.  For God will reward the righteous with goodness.[:]
