[:en]This is a battle song of David:
- The Lord of God is the one who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle (v. 1)
- The Lord would come down to help me fight the battle (vs. 5-7)
- I will sing a new song on the ten-stringed lyre and make a music to you for my victory (vs. 9-10)
- I will thank God for what He has done for my family and nation (vs. 12-15)
“O Lord, what is a man that you care for him; the son of man that you think of him? Man is like a breath, his days are like a fleeing shadow” (vs. 3-4)
Why should God pay attention to a man?
Because Jehovah God is a merciful and gracious God. He loves us and keeps His promises. David described Him as “my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge who subdues people under me” (v. 2).
The mystery of God’s love is too deep for us to explain but it is not difficult for us to experience. Because of His love, He suffered and died on the cross for us. He arose and is now in heaven interceeding for us. Let us walk with Him and let our life shine before men so that we can bring him glory.[:]
