[:en]THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS
In Philippians 2, Paul reminded us to imitate Christ’s humility.. He wrote: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others” (Phil. 2:3-4). He described the humble attitude of Jesus Christ who did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness and appearance, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! (Phil. 2:5-8)
Whe we value others above ourselves, we demonstrate Christlike humility with the mindset of Jesus not to be served but to serve. Let us serve God by serving others. – (Dave Granon)[:]
