[:en]MORAL BENEFITS OF WISDOM
Accept God’s Word. Store up His commands. Turn your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding. Fear the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding (vs. 1-6)
True wisdom comes from knowledge of Jesus Christ and through His Word. Solomon was uging young men to lay hold of divine wisdom because it will bring blessings to his life.
Life’s path is not easy. The power of the world, the flesh and the divil are out to tempt us into the wrong way. Having the wisdom of God and keeping His Word can protect our path and keep us safe from dangers. Discretion will protect us and understanding will guard us to walk in the straight ways.
There are 2 dangerous kinds of people:
- The Evil men – They are walking the in dark and crooked path. Their ways are devious and their words perverse (vs. 12-15)
- The Adulteress – She uses flattery and seductive words to appeal to the appetites of the flesh. She has left the partner of her youth and broken her marriage vows. She entices and leads the foolish young men to the path of death. (vs. 16-19)
