[:en]God directs our hearts to accomplish His purposes. He tests our hearts to see what we really are (v. 2). He wants righteousness and justice more than sacrifices (v. 3, 15). He detests pride (v. 4, 24) lying tongue (v. 6, 23), violence (v. 7), evil desires (v. 10), arrogance (v. 24), laziness (v. 25), greed (v. 26), sacrifices with evil intent (v. 27) false witness (v. 28) and hardened heart (v. 29). Nothing can succeed against the Lord (v. 30), for victory rests with the Lord (v. 31).
