“Do not spend your strength on women. Your vigor on those who ruin kings. Do not drink wine or crave beer. For drunkness makes you forget laws and decrees and cause you to deprive the rights of the oppressed. Beeer belongs to those who are perishing and wine to those who are in anguish. For they will forget their poverty and misery. Speak up for the rights of the destitute. Judge farily and defend the rights of the poor and needy.
THE WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER (V. 10-31)
A wife of noble character is hard to find. She is worth more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Her husband is respected at the city gate; her children call her blessed and her husband praises her.
DESCRIPTION OF A GODLY WOMAN:
- Her hands – she works, sews, cooks, manages real estate, plants a gardon andengages in business. She is generous to the poor and needy
- Her Mouth – She speaks with wisdom and gives faithful instruction
- Her Eyes – She in industrious and sees opportunities to engage in business. She provides all household needs of the family.
- Her Heart – She fears the Lord and is faithful to her husband.
“CHARM IS DECEPTIVE AND BEAUTY IS FLEETING. BUT A WOMAN WHO FEARS THE LORD IS TO BE PRAISED” (V. 30)
