[:en]God is going to bring judgment upon the whole world. He will destroy all their armies and people. The star of heaven will be dissolved and the sky rolled up like a scroll. And all stary host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree. (v. 4). Rivers will come to the earth especially on Edom, the longtime enemy of Israel.
God chastened His people because they had disobeyed Him. But for the cause of Zion and His covenant with Abraham, He wil fight for them against their enemies.[:]
